Celebration of the 11th Annual Foundation Day of Celebrating Life Foundation

On Saturday, October 11, 2025, the Celebrating Life Foundation (CLF), an organization working for the welfare of senior citizens, celebrated its 11th Foundation Day. The event was held at Hindi Bhavan, ITO, New Delhi.

The program commenced with a Ganesha Vandana dance performance by the Bharadwaj Sisters (Myra and Samayara Bharadwaj). Following this, children from the Kala Smriti Academy presented a dance drama depicting the cosmic oneness of Shiva-Shakti. Kathak exponent Kalpana Jha ‘Amar’ also gave a graceful performance.

Special Guest Mrs. Savita Syal (Senior Litterateur) and Chief Guest Dr. Kailash Kumar Mishra (Renowned Anthropologist) shared their insightful views on the theme “Senior Citizens and Modern Society.”

Renowned senior and young poets—including Dr. (Mrs.) Pravin Sharma, Aditya Bhattar, Mrs. Bhavana Arora ‘Milan’, Mrs. Abha Jha, Kameshwar Chaudhary, Dr. Varsha Singh, Mrs. Santwana Mishra, Mr. Harsh Raj, and Dr. Shrichand Kamat—made the event even more magnificent with their wonderful poetry recitations.

During the program, CLF also honored seven individuals for their distinguished contributions across various fields:

  • CLF Sahitya Seva Samman-2025 was awarded to Hindi poet and Hindi movement activist Narendra Singh ‘Nihar’ and children’s author Rajinikant Shukla.
  • CLF Kala Seva Samman-2025 was presented to writer, educationist, and Suruchi Pariwar representative promoting education, art, and literature among the new generation, Madan Sahni, along with renowned playwright and stage director from Hyderabad, Suhas Bhatnagar.
  • CLF Janseva Samman-2025 was given to Dr. Nalini Bhargava, Founder of Shakuntalam, for expanding access to education among underprivileged sections of society, and to Kishan Chand Barwa for his relentless welfare work for destitute and sick people through his organization Manav Janhit Kalyan Sansthan.
  • CLF Health Service Award-2025 was awarded to Yoga and Fitness Trainer Kajal Chaudhary for her efforts in raising health awareness and de-addiction among people.

The event was gracefully hosted by senior Hindi and Maithili litterateur Anita Mishra. An exhibition showcasing CLF’s literary works was also put on display during the occasion.
